Victor Radley has been spared the axe by Nick Politis and the Sydney Roosters.
The decision is an interesting one considering Politis’ comments earlier in the year by the Roosters have ‘zero tolerance’ for drug related offenses.
“They had to come down really hard on him and send a message.” said Brent Read on Triple M’s Saturday Scrum.
“They could have sacked him, I mean they would have had legal problems with it
and maybe they would have had to pay a big payout.”
England coach Shaun Wane has declared that Radley will still be eligible for selection in the upcoming Ashes series.
