NSW Blues & Penrith Panthers star Nathan Cleary struggled to get through State of Origin II after sustaining a groin injury the day before the game.
And now we have to wait and see how the next few weeks play out, as neither club or state can afford to have the playmaker out.
THE JOURNOS! LISTEN HERE!
With the Penrith Panthers fighting for a Finals spot and obviously the Blues now being forced into a decider in Game III, the latter already without Mitchell Moses, it’s NSW who will be mostly sweating!
“The Blues will not have a say,” Michael Chammas said on Triple M NRL’s The Journos.
“I think he would have been leaning towards resting himself if Penrith were in a better situation.
“But he’s the Prince of Penrith. He’s not going to want to sacrifice the season when he knows the game [against Bulldogs next week] is so critical to them.
“Because if Penrith get into the top eight, I don’t care where they finish, they can win [the] competition.”
