Kalyn Ponga tried to pull a Houdini the morning of the NRL’s Dally M awards and was DENIED.
The superstar fullback was pretty candid when he spoke to Hughesy, Ed & Erin this morning.

It all started with Erin Molan trying to get personal with the Newcastle Knights star.
She noted that his girlfriend was absent from the event, but his Mother wasn’t
This led to the belief that maybe Kalyn and his partner had been in a fight, but it turns out the story was completely different.
Kalyn actually had no intention of attending the event!
The NRL were very quick to step in though and force the issue.
Ponga was tied up in a tight battle with New Zealand Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson throughout the late rounds of voting.
An EXCELLENT performance in his last game of the year would see him edge out the competition and claim the honours.
