Des Hasler is gone, Josh Hannay is in.
Both Jason Demetriou and Kevin Walters on Triple M NRL Daily’s The Coaches supported the decision to give the young manager the job at Gold Coast Titans but after Hasler’s exit, they have their concerns.
With Hannay getting the reigns to be a full-time head coach, the Titans could be a very challenging task in what has become one of the more difficult jobs in NRL.
And with the futures of captain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui in the air, as well as Jayden Campbell and the impending exit of David Fifita, it’s a big task at hand for Josh Hannay.

“They thought Justin Holbrook was the answer but then they moved him on for Des,” said Walters.
“It’s gone backwards since Holbrook was there,” added Demetriou.
“They were playing better footy and getting results.
“There’s an argument to say that the club should’ve showed more patience and support.
“You don’t know until you’ve sat in the hot seat.”
And JD shared lessons he learnt after his tenure at South Sydney Rabbitohs.
“For me personally, I know I’ll be a better coach when the next opportunity comes.
“I’m sure for Kevvie, it’ll be the same.
“Unfortunately in our business, you don’t get opportunities to learn from, you don’t get long.”
