Jake Friend Reserves Praise For Angus Crichton In State Of Origin Clinic

Jake Friend joined Mitch Pearce for Footy Talk’s Origin special after NSW Blues levelled the series against Queensland Maroons in Game Two of State of Origin.

The Blues won 38-18, but it was the record-breaking half-time score of 34-0 that did the damage and NSW Blues second-rower Angus Crichton was praised for his turnaround in form this season which led to a clinical performance in Melbourne.

“I think NSW won all those little battles, the physicality battles in and around the ruck,” said Friend.

“Angus, he just wants to beat you and hurt you.

“He wants to go after all those little moments.

“I thought it was really good to see him go after some guys and then be a bit of a menace.”
