Corey Oates could be on the move next season, with his management and Brisbane not seeing eye to eye on his next contract.
Speaking on Triple M’s Monday Scrum, Brent Read revealed that the Broncos winger could be on the move if Brisbane aren’t ready to budge on their current offer.
“Corey Oates is in a bit of a stalemate with Brisbane about what they’re willing to pay him.” said Read.
“Apparently there’s a pretty vast difference in what his management thinks he’s worth and what the Broncos are willing to pay him.”
The Knights are apparently showing interest in the winger, Oates could be the perfect replacement for the departing Dom Young.
“The Knights are interested, they’re interested at a certain amount.”
“His management want more…but there is an interest there.”
“If Corey has an appetite to leave and is willing to drop his price a bit more the Knights certainly will have a look at Corey Oates.”
