Queenslanders facing low-level charges will no longer need to show up in person at Magistrates Court.
Under the new rules, defendants can now appear in via video link, a move aimed at easing the load on courts and saving people time.

One person leaving court was recorded saying, “Dialling in would be pretty good yeah… Then you don’t have to waste your day coming to court.”
