Sydney

Sydney’s renowned fireworks display is set to be the city’s largest, with over nine tonnes of fireworks launched from multiple locations, including new positions on the Harbour Bridge and drone-powered platforms. 

Prime viewing spots include Sydney Park, Bicentennial Park, and Cockatoo Island. 

Melbourne

Melbourne anticipates a pleasant day with a high of 26°C, cooling to 14°C overnight. The city will host fireworks displays in the Central Business District. People are advised to plan their evening and consider using public transport.

Brisbane

Brisbane may experience thunderstorms on New Year’s Eve, with a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C. Celebrations are planned along the Brisbane River, with fireworks displays scheduled for 8:30pm and midnight.

Perth

Perth is set for a hot day, reaching 35°C. The city’s main event at Gloucester Park will feature a fireworks display at midnight. Residents are reminded to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions due to the high temperatures.

Adelaide

Adelaide will enjoy sunny conditions with a high of 28°C and a low of 15°C. Festivities include fireworks displays at Rymill Park and Glenelg Beach, with family-friendly activities commencing in the evening.

Hobart expects pleasant weather, with a high of 21°C and a low of 10°C. The city will host fireworks over the River Derwent, with popular viewing areas including Salamanca Place and the waterfront.

Canberra

Canberra may see thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a high of 29°C and a low of 15°C. The city will host fireworks displays in the city centre.

Darwin

Darwin is forecasted to have a high of 34°C with potential afternoon thunderstorms. Celebrations will take place along the waterfront, featuring live music and a fireworks display at midnight.
