A woman in her 50s was airlifted to hospital on Sunday afternoon following a mid-air collision while paragliding on Noosa North Shore, Sunshine Coast.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, the woman fell approximately 30 metres onto a sand cliff after colliding with another paraglider.
Witnesses reported that the two paragliders became entangled during the flight.

Paragliders who were flying with the pair quickly landed on the beach and raced back up the cliff to provide assistance.
The woman suffered serious abdominal and back injuries.
A flight paramedic and an off-duty Australian Defence Force doctor administered first aid at the scene.
Rescue crews worked to stabilise the injured woman before winching her onto a helicopter.
She was then transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The other paraglider involved in the incident, a man in his 60s, managed to land safely on the beach.
He did not require medical treatment.
