US Government divided over Ghislaine Maxwell pardon  

The US Government is divided over whether Ghislaine Maxwell should be granted a pardon or reduced sentence, in a bid to obtain more information from her, relating to her former associate Jeffrey Epstein. 

Maxwell is currently serving two decades in prison for sex trafficking underage girls for Epstein.

Last week Maxwell was interviewed by the US Deputy Attorney General over two days, where she reportedly provided details relating to over 100 different people. 
 
Yesterday the US House Speaker Mike Johnson was questioned over whether Ghilaine Maxwell could be trusted, and if he supported a pardon for her.
