James Anthony Sorgiovanni, 26, and Hannah Louise Glover, 28, appeared in Bunbury Magistrates Court following their arrest and charging over the weekend for the alleged murder of a woman in Western Australia.
Police found the woman’s body in Broadwater, next to the suburbs of Busselton, about 220 kilometres south of Perth, during a welfare check on Friday evening.
While police have confirmed that the victim and Mr Sorgiovanni were acquainted, the nature of their relationship remains undisclosed.
Both defendants were remanded in custody pending their next court appearance.
Prior to the court proceedings on Monday, South West Police Superintendent Geoff Stewart said the investigation into the 38-year-old’s death is still underway.
“We want to hear from anyone who may have information in relation to this matter that happened in Broadwater,” Superintendent Stewart said.
He particularly urged individuals who might have witnessed a man and a woman, accompanied by a toddler, riding an e-scooter from Busselton to Margaret River between Thursday evening and Friday morning to come forward.
