Emergency services treated five people at the scene, including an 18-year-old Altona Meadows woman and a 17-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy.
Tragically, the teen girl had died at the scene, and the teenage boy was taken to hospital with

One six-year-old child and an 11-year-old boy were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
An Altona Meadows man was also taken to hospital. The 43-year-old is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Transport Accident Commission, there were 239 total fatal crashes on Victorian roads, claiming a total of 241 people’s lives on Victorian roads.
The exact cause of the incident is under investigation, and police are appealing for assistance from anyone who witnessed the incident in Grangefields at about 6:30 p.m.
