Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, bringing the Olympics to Los Angeles in true Hollywood style.
The “Mission Impossible” star stunned the crowd at Stade de France on Sunday by rappelling from the stadium’s roof as H.E.R. performed the U.S. national anthem.

Cruise made his way through the crowd of athletes, waving the Olympic flag, shaking hands, and flashing his iconic smile before taking the stage for a symbolic moment.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and gymnastics legend Simone Biles, who was seen sporting a medical boot on her left leg, joined him on stage. This marked the official handover of the Olympic flag from Paris to Los Angeles.
Cruise attached the flag to his motorcycle and sped off into the streets of Paris as cameras followed his journey.
The screen then dramatically shifted to an aerial view of Los Angeles, where the iconic Hollywood sign was temporarily redesigned to include the five Olympic rings.
Olympic track legend Michael Johnson took over the flag-carrying duties, running through the heart of Los Angeles before handing off to a beachside concert featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre.
The ceremony capped off the Paris 2024 Olympics, where Team USA led the medal tally with a total of 126 medals.
Meanwhile, Australia ended the Games with a total of 53 medals, including 18 gold, 19 silver, and 16 bronze.
