Investigators are also looking into a possible link between the home invasion and a number of stabbings in Fortitude Valley on Saturday night.

According to police, the victims were believed to have been targeted for their belongings in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 21-year-old man was allegedly confronted by five people on Constance Street and stabbed in the abdomen before his necklace was stolen.

The man made it to a nearby police station before being transported to hospital to be treated for a stab wound to the back and a collapsed lung.

Two other people were also stabbed in separate instances around the same area.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy a short time later.
