Listen to Antoinette and Victoria’s chat here:
In this chat on The Briefing, Victoria unpacks with Antoinette Lattouf her Kylie Minogue-like accent, and how she navigated the Australian media landscape a women of colour.
For many women in Australia, having a certain “style” is something important to them, it’s a way of expressing their identity.
But for those who don’t have experience working in styling or fashion, how does one understand or lean into their style?
“The truth is, to have great style, to work on your style, you have to get to know yourself,” Victoria said.
“Style is definitely not about seeing something on an influencer, celebrity, or a big social media person and going that is for me, right?
“The way to extricate style from that is to go, what about that do I like, so it’s not about getting that same item because you might have a different body.
“For example, if I’m wearing a floral top, do you like it because I look sexy in it or do you like it because I look feminine in it?”
