Teenage Boy Injured In Shooting Incident In Adelaide’s North-Western Suburbs

A teenage boy has been hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries after allegedly being shot in the leg during an incident in Adelaide’s north-western suburbs this morning. 

Police responded to reports of gunshots in the area and found multiple bullet holes at a residence on Nelson Street in Kilburn.

Authorities were called to the scene and discovered the injured teenager, who was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. 

The victim’s condition is reported to be stable, and police are scheduled to interview him later this afternoon.

While details surrounding the incident remain under investigation, law enforcement officials have stated that the shooting does not appear to be a random attack.

The motive and circumstances leading up to the incident are yet to be determined.

Nelson Street residents expressed their concerns about the ongoing safety issues in the neighbourhood. 

One resident told ABC that: “It’s quite terrifying … because it’s happening all the time. Police are always coming here — every day or every two days. Sometimes a shooting happens, sometimes fighting, sometimes stabbings — these kinds of things are not good to live near”.

Police are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward and assist with the investigation.
