Splendour In The Grass cancelled its 2024 festival just two weeks after it officially dropped its line-up.

Kylie MinogueFuture and Arcade Fire were set to headline the three-day event in Byron Bay but cancelled due to “unexpected events”.

Ticket sales for Splendour In The Grass recorded a 30 per cent drop in 2023 compared to pre-Covid numbers and it wasn’t the only festival that’s cancelled over the last two years for insufficient sales.

In 2024, Groovin the Moo, Australia’s regional musical festival, also cancelled its six days due to insufficient ticket sales.
