Police are searching for a woman who vanished while on a journey from East Gippsland to Melbourne.
The missing individual, identified only as Samantha, experienced a car breakdown with her Kia Sportage along the Princes Highway around 8:15am on Friday.
Authorities believe a passer-by stopped to offer assistance. However, Samantha, 33, has not been sighted since.
While authorities have not disclosed Samantha’s surname, they have expressed concern for her well-being due to her medical condition and the unusual nature of her disappearance.
The woman is described as wearing a blue-grey fleece top, jeans, and runners at the time of her disappearance.
Samantha’s family also appeals for any information that might lead to her whereabouts.
Investigators suspect Samantha may have resorted to hitchhiking along the highway en route to Melbourne.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact Bairnsdale police promptly.
