A 28-year-old police officer will be charged with murder following the disappearance of a Sydney couple earlier this week
Luke Davies, 29, and Jesse Baird, 26, were last seen on Monday evening in Paddington, Sydney. Police later found a significant amount of blood in Mr Baird’s home.
On Friday morning a 28-year-old man handed himself in to Bondi police station. The man has been formally refused bail and is expected to be charged with murder and face court today or tomorrow.
Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty said police believe a white van was used to transport the bodies of the two men believed to have been murdered.
Police say the couple have not been found, and police are seeking assistance from the public in their whereabouts.
“If anyone has any information about this van …. or what happened to both Luke and Jesse …. please contact Crime Stoppers,” he said.
