Detectives are yet to lay charges over the broad daylight murder of mother-of-three Kara Jade Weribone on Wednesday afternoon. Officers are still searching for the killer.
Police have commenced a homicide investigation following the woman’s murder at North Toowoomba on February 26.

Initial investigations indicate that at around 1:50pm, emergency services were called to a Christmas Street address following reports of a disturbance.
A white Toyota Camry was seen in the area at the time. Three witnesses who were at the location at the time of the incident are currently assisting police with their enquires.
Upon arrival, a 27-year-old Wilsonton woman was located with multiple serious injuries.
She was transported to Toowoomba Hospital, where she was declared deceased.
Investigations into the incident and efforts to locate any outstanding people are ongoing, however Queensland Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.
