Victoria Police have commenced a renewed search for the body of missing Ballarat woman Samantha Murphy.
Police undertook a “targeted search” in the Ballarat area on Tuesday and will resume on Wednesday.
Despite many searches since Murphy went missing on February 4 after not returning home from a morning run, her body has never been found.

“Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad as well as a range of specialist resources from across Victoria Police, New South Wales Police and the Australian Federal Police were involved in the search,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“Since February, police have regularly undertaken a range of enquiries and small-scale searches as part of the current investigation.”
Victoria Police have informed Murphy’s family of the search and asked members of the public not to attend at this time.
Twenty-three-year-old Patrick Orren Stephenson was charged with murder in relation to Murphy’s disappearance.
He remains in custody until the matter returns to court on November 14.
