Police have arrested a teenage boy following a shooting at a Perth school on Wednesday.
A former student at a Perth school has been arrested after shots were fired in the carpark at around midday on Wednesday.
Police were called to Atlantis Beach Baptist College in Two Rocks at around 12PM following reports of gunshots being fired.
A 15-year-old has since been accused of allegedly firing three shots from the school car park with one of the shots hitting a school building where people were believed to be inside.
Upon searching a car the former student is alleged to have been driven to the school in, police found two weapons along with three bullet casings at the scene.
The weapons recovered include a .234 calibre rifle and .22 calibre rifle which are both alleged to be registered to the teenager’s home.
West Australian Police Commissioner Col branch said the shooting is “one of the rarest incidents in Australia”.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
