Olympian Leisel Jones and Former Brisbane Lord Mayor Concerned Over Government’s Rejection of Olympic Infrastructure Review

Former Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk has appeared on Triple M Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Dan 24 hours after the government ignored the recommendations in his Olympic Infrastructure Review.

After originally saying he would back the recommendations of the review, Premier Steve Miles reneged at that promise yesterday saying he wouldn’t back a new stadium at Victoria Park.

Former Olympian and Triple M Rush Hour with Leisel Jones, Liam and Dobbo host, Liesel Jones said she’s now worried for the future of the game.

“I’m concerned, this makes me so nervous,” she said.

“I was so confident before about the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. I am so nervous now about what’s going to happen, because we can’t agree on anything.
