A police officer is recovering in hospital after being allegedly stabbed during the arrest of a man at Doonside, New South Wales, on Friday morning.
At about 12.30am, emergency services were called to Hill End Road after reports of five men fighting.
On arrival, police saw a vehicle being driven away.

Police began a pursuit, which was shortly terminated after the vehicle hit a power pole and three men allegedly began running away.
It was during the arrest of these men, that police will allege a male constable was stabbed in the chest by a 20-year-old man.
Paramedics treated the officer before taking him to Westmead Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
The three men, aged 21, 20 and 18, have been taken to Blacktown Police Station.
A crime scene has been established, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.
