At least three people, including a teacher and a student, were killed after a shooter armed with a handgun opened fire at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison.
According to the Associated Press, the suspect, a teenage student, was among those found dead after the shooting, which began shortly before 11am at the school.

The incident also left six more people injured, with two students currently in life-threatening condition.
Police Chief Shon Barnes stated that the suspect’s death is believed to be from a self-inflicted gunshot.
As the investigation continues, officials say they will not disclose the identity of the shooter, including their grade, gender, or exact age, at this stage.
Officers did not fire their weapons, and the campus did not have a school resource officer.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown, but the suspect’s family has been cooperating with the investigation.
Nine public schools in Madison were shut down for a few hours as a precaution after the incident.
“As difficult as today is, that’s still someone’s child that’s gone,” Mr Barnes said.
“I think we can all agree that enough is enough, and we have to come together to do everything we can to support our students to prevent press conferences like these from happening again, and again, and again,” he said.
Research by CNN reveals that, prior to Monday’s incident, there had been at least 81 school shootings in the United States in 2024.
The White House released a statement confirming that President Joe Biden has been briefed on the shooting, and officials are coordinating with local authorities to offer support.
