Motorcyclist Dead Following Five Car Pile-Up In Sydney’s West

A motorcyclist has died after becoming involved in a five-car pile-up in Sydney’s west on Tuesday morning. 

The motorcycle, a ute and three other vehicles were involved in the crash which occurred at the intersection of Pennant Hills and Fraser Road in Normanhurst at around 11:45AM. 

The motorcyclist, who is believed to be a man in his 60s, died after his motorcycle and the ute ploughed through a brick wall.

The ute was allegedly travelling south when it bumped a Land Cruiser before driving into the northbound lane. 

The ute then struck two more vehicles and the motorcycle before driving through the brick wall and catching on fire.

The 36-year-old male driver of the ute was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for back pains. 

Two women were also treated for minor injuries following the accident. 

Police shut down Pennant Hills Road which caused significant congestion along the M1. 

The motorcyclist is yet to be formally identified as police continue their investigations.
