The pitch invader who threw a bucket of sand at Melbourne City goalkeeper Tom Glover during an A-League match in 2022 has been sentenced to prison.
The goalie suffered a concussion after the bucket hit him in the face when Victory fans invaded the pitch at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium in December of last year.
A security guard was also assaulted with a bucket of hot sand which left him with a burnt eyebrow.

The group stormed the field in protest of the league’s final matches being relocated.
Alex Agelopoulos, 23, has been sentenced to three months in jail on Tuesday and has also been banned from attending any matches at Melbourne’s AAMI Park for at least five years.
Agelopoulos will also be required to submit for random blood testing and 18 months of supervision following his release.
A bail application will be heard by the court on Tuesday.
