It has been revealed that the Gold Coast man is a former childcare worker who was employed at 10 childcare centres in Brisbane, one in Sydney and at least one more overseas.
The man’s arrest follows a lengthy investigation by the Australian Federal Police, the Queensland Police Service and the NSW Police Force.
The man has now been accused by police of contributing material to the global paedophile network The Love Zone.
Since the man’s arrest on Tuesday, questions have been raised as to how he was able to retain his blue card, authorising him to work with children despite reports to police being made about him in 2021.
Queensland Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath has since established an investigation into the man’s ability to continue working with children.
