Kathleen Folbigg was once dubbed “Australia’s worst female serial killer”, and she spent 20 years in prison after being found guilty of killing her four young children when they were just babies or toddlers.
The 56-year-old has always maintained her innocence but was convicted of three counts of manslaughter and one count of murder.
Today the Court of Criminal Appeal, led by Chief Justice Andrew Bell, overturned all her convictions.
NSW Governor Margaret Beazley previously granted her an unconditional pardon and released from prison in June.
The pardon followed a report that brought to light new evidence, including scientific information not known during the original trial.
