Paramedics treated one person at the scene and was then taken to Frankston Hospital in a stable condition.

The initial landslide impacted two other homes, and the State Emergency Services now concerned about nearby properties.

“We’ve got a couple of other properties uphill from the main property and others downhill, all of which we’re disconnecting services and evacuating people,” he said.

The house destroyed had been emptied after it was hit by a smaller landslide a week earlier. Geotechnical engineering experts were monitoring the property.

SES remain at the sight to ensure the scene is safe.

The Nepean Highway is closed between McCrae and Dromana while the SES work.
