Erin Patterson Accused Of Killing Three Appears In Victorian Court

The woman accused of killing three guests at a Leongatha lunch in July has a brief hearing at a Victorian court. 

49-year-old Erin Patterson was on Thursday charged with three counts of murder and five of attempted murder.

She made no application for bail and the case has been adjourned until May 3, 2024.

 The murder charges relate to the deaths of her former in-laws Don and Gail Patterson and Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson who attended a mushroom lunch Erin Patterson allegedly prepared.

 One of the attempted murder charges related to Heather Wilkinson’s husband Ian Wilkinson who was also at the lunch but recovered in hospital.

The others relate to meals Erin Patterson allegedly prepared for 48-year-old man in 2021 and 2022.

 He did not attend the July lunch.
