Investing in the stock market seems too complicated and risky for many young people, but the founders of Equity Mates have a simple four-part strategy that will help make you wealthier.
In this episode of The Briefing, Tom Tilley explores the strategy with the hosts of Equity Mates, Alec Renehan and Bryce Leske.
LISTEN NOW:
So, what is this four-part strategy?
Step one: Get paid,
Step two: Automate your investing,
Step three: Buy a bit of everything and,
Step four: Repeat steps one, two and three everyday.
With this in mind though, Alec, Bryce and their book acknowledge that many investors aim to time the market. But can you actually do this, and how critical is timing the market to your own investing?
“Timing the market is something that everyone will try and do, especially when they’re a new investor, because it feels like the right thing to do. The challenge is no one can do it,” Alec says.
“Anyone who tells you that they know where the market is going to go, run away as fast as you can because they can’t like even the greatest investors in the world.
“Don’t try and time the market because it’s just it’s mass psychology that you’re trying to predict and that’s impossible.”
To listen to Alec and Bryce explain each of the steps in detail and how you can grow your money, listen to today’s episode of The Briefing.
