CCTV Footage Released Of Hours Before Sydney Woman’s Body Discovered

Police have released CCTV footage of the hours before a woman was found dead in her Sydney home. 

The body of 34-year-old Tatiana Dokhotaru was discovered inside of her Liverpool apartment on Saturday May 27 at around 8PM. 

The grim discovery was made over 20 hours after Ms Dokhotaru called authorities for help at around 11:45PM on Friday evening.

Police found Ms Dokhotaru’s former partner Danny Zayat was found inside of the apartment when the body was discovered. 

He was later charged with a number of offences including allegedly destroying or damaging property and domestic violence offences. 

Police are yet to charge anyone over Ms Dokhotaru’s death.

CCTV footage has been released by police in the hopes someone with information will come forward. 

According to NSW police, the footage shows a phone being thrown out of a window at Ms Dokhotaru’s apartment complex. 

The phone has not yet been recovered by authorities.

“Investigators have issued CCTV footage of a phone being thrown out of a window which matches the location of Ms Dokhotaru’s unit shortly before midnight on Friday 26 May 2023,” NSW Police said.
