A Queensland police officer and a man have been shot in a physical altercation on Brisbane’s southside on Friday.
Police declared a crime scene at Tamar Street, Annerley, following the incident they were called to at around 9:13am after reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, a physical altercation occurred between a male constable and a man, with both sustaining gunshot wounds.
They were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Queensland Ambulance Service said one patient sustained “life-threatening injuries”, while the other had “potentially life-threatening injuries”.
Speaking to ABC, Queensland Premier David Crisafulli said, “To think that a call-out can end in something like that sends shivers up your spine”.
“And it shows you why people respect the men and women of the police service so very much,” he said.
In a statement, Queensland police said the Ethical Standards Command will investigate the matter, with the Crime and Corruption Commission to oversight.
No charges have been laid.
