US President Joe Biden has acknowledged a stumble in last week’s debate against Donald Trump.
He admitted that he “screwed up” but reaffirmed his commitment to continue in the election race.

Speaking to a Wisconsin radio station, Biden described his performance as a mistake but urged voters to assess his tenure in the White House.
“I’m the nominee of the Democratic Party. No one’s pushing me out. I’m not leaving,” Mr Biden said.
According to a source cited by BBC News. Vice-President Kamala Harris joined Biden on the call, offering her support amidst growing speculation that she could potentially replace Biden as the party’s nominee before the November election.
“The president has always had our backs, we’re going to have his back as well,” Maryland Governor Wes Moore told reporters after the meeting.
The aftermath of Biden’s debate performance has sparked concerns within Democratic circles regarding his fitness for office and electoral prospects.
“If we open up the convention, it will cause pure chaos that will hurt us in November,” one member said.
Polls published by the New York Times and CBS News indicate a lead for Trump in crucial battleground states.
Despite calls from some Democratic donors and lawmakers for Biden to step aside, the White House and Biden campaign have denied reports of any intention to withdraw.
