Officers swarmed the campus and students hid in classrooms and the football stadium.
Chris Hosey, director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, told a press conference that the perpetrator will be charged and tried as an adult.
The alleged shooter used an AR platform-style gun and it is believed he acted alone.
“We don’t expect any more fatalities at this time,” Hosey said.
“We’re still trying to clarify a lot of the timeline from the time that he got here to school today until the incident,” he said.
