A 77-year-old man was shot inside a law firm located on the ninth floor of an office building in Sydney’s CBD this afternoon.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene around 12:50pm.

Upon arrival, paramedics treated the victim at the scene for a gunshot wound to the groin before transporting him to St Vincent’s Hospital.
Dominic Wong from NSW Ambulance reported that the man was in stable condition, with normal vital signs and no active bleeding.
Shortly after the incident, police arrested a 79-year-old man at the scene, who is currently cooperating with their inquiries.
Authorities seized a small-calibre semi-automatic weapon during the arrest.
Firefighters from a nearby station also rushed in to provide assistance.
The relationship between the two men remained unclear, and police said it was too early to determine any connection.
Detective Inspector David El-Badawi assured the public that the incident was not believed to be gang-related.
“This is an isolated shooting, we don’t believe it is connected to any outlawed motorcycle gangs or any gang warfare,” Inspector El-Badawi said.
The man who was arrested was not injured.
A crime scene has been established, and authorities have advised the public to avoid the area as the investigation unfolds.
