A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder after an alleged fatal stabbing at the Joy Thai restaurant near Kirwan, Townsville.
The incident happened just 20 minutes before the restaurant was set to open at 5pm yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the scene, where police officers discovered a 26-year-old man suffering from multiple serious injuries.
Despite the efforts of first responders to revive him, the man succumbed to his injuries.
Police immediately took a man in his thirties into custody at the restaurant, and he was reportedly cooperating with the investigation.
Police revealed that the two men were known to each other, although the specific nature of their relationship has not been disclosed.
This morning, authorities confirmed that the 31-year-old man had been formally charged with multiple offences, including murder and contravening a domestic violence order.
He is set to appear at the Townsville Magistrates Court this morning.
