Ed Sheeran has revealed he’s entering a new era with his upcoming album Subtract. He’s revealed in a series of posts it represents a very difficult time for him.
He also described his sadness as a big blue monster that follows him around so in the video for his new song ‘Eyes Closed’ we get to meet said imaginary friend.
When speaking about his big blue monster, Ed says “Often sadness is something that follows you around, engulfing the rooms you’re in, and you can feel and see it, but no one else around you can. So I decided to create my own big blue monster for the video. He gets bigger and bigger as the video goes on, til he takes up whole rooms, and is all I can see, just like sadness.” he continued saying “I LOVE the big blue monster. Hel be popping up places and available soon but more on that later.”
