It’s long been the bane of Perth truck drivers and now, it’s gone. The Bayswater Bridge.
Matt wanted to pay tribute to the Perth icon and did what he does best. Wrote a tribute song to commemorate the occasion, to the tune of Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac.

I drive a truck and man I have seen some things,
From bad merging, to Kymba looking for free parking,
But fear hits me when my load’s above 12 feet,
Would never turn my rig onto King William street.

That poor old bridge, has seen its fair share of fools,
From plain mistakes, to drivers just driving like tools,
It never budged though many a truck it bent,
Now drive our rigs without fear down Whatley Crescent

They’ve fixed up Bayswater subway,
They’ve made it slightly higher,
It’s metres, 4.8,
