How’s your weekend looking? It’s arguably going to be a bit more relaxed than Andrew Donaldson’s, who is doing a massive swim effort in an effort to raise money for Telethon.
LISTEN:
This from their press release.
Andy Donaldson is a 3-time World Record holding swimmer from Perth, Western Australia. In July 2023, he made history by becoming the first person ever to complete the Oceans Seven, the world’s seven toughest channel swims, within the space of one year. Andy was also the solo winner of the Rottnest Channel Swim in 2021.
Andy has now set a new challenge… to swim 33km from Rottnest Island to Elizabeth Quay on Sunday 22nd October in support of Youth Mental Health.
Proudly sponsored by the Perron Institute, Andy’s Swim for Telethon is aiming to raise $33,000 ($1 per metre) that will be used specifically to improve outcomes for Youth Mental Health. Youth Mental Health is a major focus for both Andy and the Perron Institute as we strive for personalised treatments that improve medical outcomes.
