Kymba Cahill took time this morning to relate her thoughts on the inordinate amount of time it’s taking for Perth kids to get assessed and potentially diagnosed for ADHD.
As someone who was recently diagnosed with ADHD, Kymba can relate to the struggles and the frustration that many parents are no doubt encountering.
“Nearly a two year wait, the median wait time is 17.8 months,
“ADHD is one of those things, I was diagnosed less than a year and a half ago, and now I’m suddenly like ‘Oh, now I get all these things in my life that was really hard and challenging, and everything makes sense to me now,
“Diagnosing a child is so much better for them than finding out when you’re older.”
