Bridgetown Bans Energy Drinks For Kids, But Is That Legal?

The sleepy WA beauty that is Bridgetown is looking to ban the sale of energy drinks, such as Red Bull and Mother, to anyone under the age of 18, and the community is reportedly right behind it.

The question is though, is that legal?

Pete, Matt and Kymba spoke with Dr Sarah Youngson, who explained why the town at large are right behind the move.

LISTEN:

“I noticed in my work that kids were coming in with insomnia, anxiety and mental health issues, sure, energy drinks aren’t the only cause of these issues, but they were certainly having some impact.”

As you’ll hear from the above though, there’s a question over whether it is actually legal to do so, so it’s a case of wait and see, we think.
