There are some proud mums about for this Women’s World Cup and joining Bec & Soda, is midfielder Katrina Gorry’s mum, Linda.
She shares the behind the scenes for the Gorry family ahead of the Womens’ World Cup.
Support for the Matildas has been “overwhelming” since the start of the World Cup with Linda proud that the girls are getting the recognition of the hard work they’ve put in.
“Oh, look, it’s so overwhelming, you know,” Linda said.
“[I’m] getting messages from people that I used to go to school with that are acknowledging what the girls have done for the sport and for Australia.”

As Linda prepares for the semi-final, she’s tasked with looking after Katrina’s 2-year old daughter Harper.
“As soon as she walks into a football field, she knows that she’s watching mama.”
Jamie Foord also joins Bec & Soda to share her feelings for sister and forward Caitlin, reflecting on how this World Cup has changed womens sport forever.
“I know all the hard work that her and the whole team have put in to be put on the World stage,” Jamie said.
“This is going to change their lives forever and change Australian football forever. So you know, it means everything. Everything.”
