Dr Lotti Tajouri from Queensland’s Bond University was part of a team that swabbed phones from international travellers who had flown into Sydney.
“Mobile phones act as contaminated mobile petri dishes,” he said
The molecular geneticist found 52 per cent scrolled their phones while in the bathroom and 57 per cent never cleaned their devices.
When we shone a black UV light on Jimmy & Nath’s phones, we found shocking results.
Sarah, a listener phoned up to vote on who she believes has the grossest phone on the team.
“No offence Jimmy but I think it’s you,” she says.
“What is it about me that gives you the impression I’m an absolute filth bag?” Jimmy asks Sarah.
“It’s just the way you come across.” Sarah says.
Jimmy then admits to the team that he is guilty of using his phone while on the toilet.
The UV light cause materials such as bacteria, urine, seminal fluids and blood to show up.
While the UV light illuminated a lot of Nath’s scratches from his phone, what we found on Jimmy’s device was stomach churning!
