Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little were shocked after a listener shared the advice a doctor gave her when she was just 11-years-old.
Listener, Indy, now 21, called in to the show to discuss the severe pain she suffered when she first started her period. She visited a doctor with her mother and was told the only way to ‘fix the pain was to have a baby’:
“I was left with no help.. no anything really”
The national drive hosts got into the topic after it was announced that an Australian-first inquiry into women’s pain will be held in Victoria, after a survey of women in the state found two in five respondents suffered from chronic pain.
