“They’re Suspending Players That Don’t Deserve To Be” Wally Lewis States MAJOR Flaw In Origin System

They’re the biggest games on the NRL calendar but The King of Brisbane, Wally Lewis has highlighted a major discrepancy in the suspension system.

HEAR WHAT HE SAID:

“This time around, we’ve got a few issues with suspension,” he said.

“The NSW judiciary vote on the suspension of players; it’s appointed by the league down there…”

Unimpressed with the lack of diversity, Brisbane’s Stav, Abby and Matt suggested that Lewis should put his hand up to be appointed by the League and get a Queensland perspective in the mix.

“I think the Queenslanders over the years have used that as a real inspiration,”

“We’re angry, we think they’re suspending players that don’t deserve to be.”

“It really is something to add fuel to the fire for the game.”

The former Origin legend also had his say on the Reece Walsh/ Kalyn Ponga drama after Walsh was selected by Billy Slater over the Queensland Veteran for Game 1.
