Behind the scenes of one of Australia’s most iconic television shows.

It’s been nearly 10 years since Mako Mermaids, the H2O: Just Add Water spin-off show, graced our TV screens. Amy Ruffle, who played Sirena, spoke to Matt & Alex about some of the less glamorous parts of the job.

Most notably, how she was told she could pee in the water while wearing her $85,000 mermaid tail.

“It takes a long time to get in and out of and production kindly said when you’re in the pool and you need to go number 1 maybe just stay in there”
