1. The Great Qantas Hoax

A bomb is set to explode at 20,000 feet in the air inside a Qantas Boeing 707, unless a ransom of $500,000 is paid. In this podcast, hear the story of the 1971 Qantas bomb hoax through conversations with the passengers on board.

5. D.B. Cooper

Thanksgiving Eve, 1971. An average looking man in a suit, a tie, and an overcoat pays for a one-way ticket at the Northwest Orient counter for flight 305 to Seattle. While on board that flight, he hands the stewardess a note indicating that he had a bomb in his briefcase. This now infamous story ends in Cooper jumping out of the back of a plane, never to be seen again.
