Staggering Study Finds 1 In 6 Australian Women Have Lost Their Jobs Due To Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a disease which sees tissue similar to the lining of the womb grow outside it in other parts of the body. It also affects 1 in 9 Australian women.

Now, a new study conducted by Southern Cross University’s National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine and Western Sydney University’s NICM Health Research Institute, and supported by Endometriosis Australia, has found that a staggering 1 in 6 women have lost their jobs due to attempts at managing the disease.

This week, Endometriosis Australia Ambassador Ellie Angel-Mobbs joined the Halfternoons with Those Two Girls podcast to help understand the reality of living with Endo and share a real example of how one friend lost her job as a consequence.
